In early 2018, our obstacle was being able to finance growth with Facebook ads, and Jake came to the rescue with a $100k interest-only loan that was really a life raft. That loan (plus interest) ended up rolling into our first convertible notes and equity in the company. Through that year, our meetings on a monthly basis really helped me stay on top of our funnel metrics, and that understanding of our numbers translated into our ability to scale (and eventually raise venture funding) in 2019.
